Joan Donovan was the founder and president of J.D. Donovan until her untimely death in 2023. She was known for her no-nonsense approach and her ability to solve customer challenges. Over the course of more than 30 years, she grew the company to what it is today—20+ trailers and a fleet of trucks driven by dedicated company drivers and independent owner operators. She was always willing to teach anyone who wanted to listen. For Joan, customer service was her forte. She spent her days visiting plants, going to corporate offices, talking to drivers and customers, and being on job sites. She often brought burgers or pizzas to share with the crews. 

We are fortunate to have the opportunity to follow in Joan's footsteps and will work hard to live up to her reputation.
